Methodical Coffee was founded in 2016 by a group of three friends, brought together by their love of all things coffee. Greenville is a small town in South Carolina where you might not expect to find a specialty coffee shop, but founders Will, Marco, and David wanted to change that. With their respective backgrounds in coffee, design, and business they were a match made in specialty coffee heaven!

After a successful year of being open as a multi-roaster, they took the natural next step and began roasting their own coffee with the hope of connecting more with the coffee world at large. Their goal with roasting coffee is to express the life of where the coffee comes from — the place, the weather, the soil—and to honor the skilled people who were involved in bringing it to your cup.

There is a method to their madness! Since entering the scene, Methodical has made a name for themselves as roasters on the cutting edge of specialty coffee, offering everything from the classic offerings that are comfortable and approachable, to through the contemporary and avant-garde microlots that play with innovative types of coffee processing.
