Tastes Like: Boozy Peach Sorbet, Tropical Fruit, Citrus Peel

Why I'm Obsessed: Last year's Feels Like Summer was a warm-weather obsession, and this year's version might be even better. The moment I tasted it I said "peach sorbet!" out loud. Aroma is big, fruity, and luscious, you'll smell this one from across the kitchen. In the cup, you get sweet, sun-ripened peach up front, a wave of tropical fruit (mango, papaya), lively citrus acidity, and that creamy body and effervescent, slightly funky finish that experimental co-ferments do so well. Methodical built this blend to be brewed hot or iced, and iced is where it sings: pour-over over ice or an iced americano turns it into a full-on frozen-cocktail experience. Leave it to Methodical, one of my favorite roasters out of Greenville, SC, to strike that balance of fruit-forward fun and intentional craft. These are the same folks who brought us the unique cinnamon co-ferment I loved during past holiday seasons. Their coffees are always dialed in, but they're never afraid to play, and Feels Like Summer is the best kind of experiment: joyful, wild, and totally refreshing.
