"This has become a holiday tradition that I look forward to every year. Dark, baking spice, and a little syrupy is the winter platonic ideal coffee. "

"First cup of 2023 and Kuma starts the year off right! Fantastic full body and oh so smooth. Wonderful mouthfeel. I especially enjoyed the beautiful aromas coming up during my pour over. And the light festive holiday flavors as you finish your coffee are just fantastic! Enjoy many more cups in this great New Year!"

"chocolate and cocoa forward. Nice but didn't notice much else. Solid and would do again for a warmer coffee"

"I’ve never really enjoyed fruit tones so went into this assuming I wouldn’t like it. Made an americano on my ROK GC and it was fantastic, of the 5 samples I got I never would have expected this would be the one I decided to buy a full bag of. I did an aero press as well which was good but nothing special however I’m very new to aeropress and am guessing this was user error"

"Another Christmas blend where most of the flavor notes I got were chocolate and cocoa. Not much of anything else. "

"I really enjoyed this coffee both black and with nut milk. It was full bodied and you really taste the chocolaty fig."

"Ashamed it took me so long to get around to this review of the seasonal Bear Claus by my favorite dang roaster this side of the Mississippi. Admittedly, I screwed the pooch a few times at first trying this in a drip machine and then v60. I was grinding a little too course and my water wasn't hot enough. However I just made a cup using Hario v60 (that's just the name of the $10 dripper I use if anyone is wondering) that hit all the right notes, and made an excellent, well-rounded cup that you can really taste a deep rich chocolate and nice sweet and tart fruit layer on the finish that isn't overly acidic or defined, although I think cranberry is about as good an description as I've seen so far. Recommended recipe: pour over 1:15-1:16 ratio, 210°F water, ≈3:45 brew time. This can be a crowd pleaser and lends itself nicely to cream and sweetener as well, although won't need it if brewed right. Perfect for the holidays or anytime during the winter where you want something rich and full but still bright and lively. "
