Ladro Roasting
Seattle, WA
Stealing hearts since 1994
Curator's Notes
Caffe Ladro, Italian for "coffee thief," opened its first cafe on Upper Queen Anne in 1994, just steps away from a certain coffee giant, and promptly stole hearts with better beans, buttery pastries, and friendlier baristas. Bold move. Thirty years later, Ladro has grown into 16 locations across Seattle and its suburbs, launched their own roastery in 2011, and owner Jack Kelly personally tours the farms he sources from, direct-sourcing 70% of his beans himself. Good Food Award winners, Seattle institution, and one of the most beloved names in the city's coffee scene. In the cup, expect a full spectrum from fruity, light single origins to bold, spicy dark blends, with something exceptional at every roast level.
