This natural-processed Ethiopian is a true kaleidoscope of bright fruit flavors. We taste fresh raspberries and ripe mango all wrapped up in a creamy, sugar cookie finish. Slate confided that this is, in their opinion, one of the best single-origin lots they've ever sourced! This is a sip of Ethiopian sunshine you will not want to miss.
Adisu was born in Gedeb and started working on his family farm when he was very young. When his father passed away in 2002, Adisu used his inherited land to focus on specialty coffee: we're so glad he did! This is a beautifully processed natural Ethiopia, with syrupy-smooth notes of mango nectar, raspberry, and sugar cookie.
"A nice cuppa. Light fruityness and some sweetness. Nothing overpowering, but not to subtle. "
"fruity smell with notes of mango, nutmeg, and spices. Will do it again. "
"Slate is in my top 5 roasters. Now make a natural Ethiopian. I'm totally a fan. Super, super single origin. "
"This was one of my samples in my monthly bean box. I love Ethiopian coffees but this one was not my favorite. I couldnt taste the Raspberry and Berry as much as I could taste cookie. I would probably like to try again to see if I can taste differently. "
"You know that fruity, wonderful tasting milk you drink after a bowl of fruit loops? Yes, this coffee is reminiscent of that! It's tooti-fruiti with mango and raspberry notes and rounded out with soft milk caramel and chocolate body. A new favorite from an amazing roaster."
"I make this in a Keurig and enjoy every single cup. It is very fruity as advertised, and the notes change as it cools. Will order again."
"I (finally!!) found it! *The* single source coffee I will have as a staple in my home. Bright, light, tasty and ... Well, not bitter. Just now sitting with a full 2oz espresso (vs. my usual latté) THIS IS DELICIOUS!"
"This coffee is delicious. The fruit notes are very pronounced. I get flavors of mango and berries."
