Rich, chocolate syrupy, and full of dark fruit, the new Ethiopia Sidamo from Longshoreman's Daughter is like a big blackberry tart in your mug. This bold medium roast is full of toasted flavors, beginning with semisweet bakers chocolate and flowing into notes of round, ripe blackberry, dried blueberry, dark molasses, maybe a hint of vanilla. Nice kick of spice in the finish. With a cupping score of 87, this washed Ethiopian is perfect for a more developed, robust profile, showcasing the fruity nature of top-quality Ethiopian beans without being overwhelmed by acidity. With its creamy nature and robust sweetness, we're loving this one as espresso, and the strong flavors make a delicious impact with milk. And did we mention it's fully organic?
