Curator's Notes
One of the best-kept secrets of the coffee world, Panama supplies less than 1% of the world's coffee-- but its rich volcanic soil, high altitude growing areas, and international influence combine to make Panamanian beans true treasures. Panama is where the geisha bean first gained its status as one of the most prized (and expensive) varietals in the world, and it's also known for success with experimental and complicated processing methods.
Roaster's Notes
The Panama Boquete SHB is a full bodied, round, and juicy coffee from the Chiriqui Province close to the border with Costa Rica. High altitude and volcanic soil make this coffee naturally fruity and clean, with notes of lush tropical fruits. Our roast balances the bold acidity with milk chocolate and toasted nuts and a lingering aftertaste.
