Celebrating Black Owned Roasters

In honor of Black History Month, we're celebrating two of our favorite specialty roasters, and black-owned businesses, Boon Boona and Portrait Coffee. Boon Boona is based in Seattle and owned by Efrem Fesaha, whose family is African, from Eritrea. He founded Boon Boona to celebrate his coffee culture and share his delicious, directly-sourced African beans. Portrait Coffee is based the historic West End of Atlanta, Georgia, with a mission to empower and equip Atlanta natives and residents with career and life opportunities in the world of specialty coffee.
