The colloquial “dark side of the moon” is the 41% of the moon we never get to see from Earth because of our synchronous rotations. But it’s not always dark: when we see a slim crescent slice, the unseen side of the moon is turned toward the sun. In 1959, the Soviet spacecraft Luna 3 was launched, with the express purpose of capturing photos of the far side of the moon. Luna 3 successfully returned 17 blurry photos, for the first time using a gravity assist maneuver in its orbit around the moon, before losing contact.

It is dark chocolate forward with deep caramel and mild nutty tones. Low acidity and well balanced. While it is a darker blend, it is not smoky, or overly toasty or otherwise suffer from some of those "over roasted" issues some dark blends can have. A truly well-crafted bean.

I guess creme brulee-ish, but it's not that caramely or sweet. Wish I could describe better lol. Great as pour over too. Smells as awesome as it tastes!
