What secrets lie on the dark side of this perennial best seller? You’re about to find out! Dark Side of the Moon is a toasty, medium-dark roast from the coffee artists at Blossom Roasters (formerly Vashon Coffee Company). With its sweet, bold notes of dark chocolate and just a touch of smoky caramel brulee, the only mystery to this roast will be how it disappears so quickly! A blend of South American and African beans, Dark Side is roasted “just dark enough”, for a smooth, satisfying cup that pairs just perfectly with your favorite breakfast pastry. Moon pie, anyone?

Creme brulee, or "burnt cream", is a classic dessert primarily associated with fine French cuisine: rich vanilla custard capped with a layer of crisp, torched sugar. But it's not clear the dish originated in France. According to food historians, it's found in writings as far back as 15th century England, where the dairy-based dessert is connected with springtime, new calves, and an abundance of milk. And Spaniards point to their own version, crema catalana, as the original: invented in a medieval Catalonian monastery, the sugar-toasted topping intended to fix a flan that didn't set properly. Sounds like a great mistake to me!

For your own toasty, creme brulee experience, look no further. With its satisfying balance of dark chocolate, burnt-sugar caramel, and bold finish, this bakery favorite is definitely worth "mooning" over. Reserve your own bag of one of our all-time best sellers, Blossom's Dark Side of the Moon, and we'll see you on the dark side of the brew...

★★★★★ ★★★★★ Honestly my favorite coffee. Great flavor, not too over the top. Goes great black, cream&sugar, any which way. Phenomenal, I absolutely love it!

★★★★★ ★★★★★ This was a super tasty dark roast, well, sort-of dark roast. It’s a med dark roast with hints of chocolate and caramel. I brewed it in my chemex and drank it black. Very smooth with no negative bitterness. I drank my second cup with a piece of caramel fudge that I make myself and they paired amazingly. My eyes were rolling in the back of my head. I will certainly order this again. I recommend this to all, even if you tend to like lighter roasts, because this is a rich flavorful cup of coffee without the burnt/smoky flavors that come with many darker roasts.

★★★★★ ★★★★★ Great as an espresso. Nice rich flavor and is really consistent (as I've been ordering these beans for 2 years now). Definitely recommend as an espresso bean.

★★★★★ ★★★★★ We use a very good burr grinder and a ver good drip machine that actually "blooms" the grounds first. That said, Dark Side continues to be one of of our favorite coffees. It is dark chocolate forward with deep caramel and mild nutty tones. Low acidity and well balanced. While it is a darker blend, it is not smoky, or overly toasty or otherwise suffer from some of those "over roasted" issues some dark blends can have. A truly well-crafted bean.

★★★★★ ★★★★★ Quite a tasty dark roast - we have ordered this several times. We normally drink black from the french press, which these beans lend themselves to nicely.
