Little City Coffee Roasters

Little City, big flavor

Curator's Notes

Coming soon!Little City opened its doors in downtown Austin in 1993, in the shadow of the state capitol, and quickly became one of the city's most beloved community hubs. When the cafe closed after eighteen years, a passionate crew of coffee lovers refused to let it die. They kept the name, kept the mission, and relaunched as a roastery committed to sourcing great coffee, roasting it fresh in Austin, and sharing it with their community. Today Little City coffees can be found in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, breweries, food trucks, music venues, and soccer stadiums across the city. Everyone deserves a great cup of coffee, and Little City takes that seriously. In the cup, expect beautifully sourced, small-batch roasted coffees with a distinctly Austin spirit.

From the Roaster

In 1993, Little City opened the doors to its now iconic coffeehouse in the shadows of the state capital in downtown Austin, Texas. Frequented by students, politicians, bike messengers, and Leslie, the Congress Avenue café was a community hub and one of Austin’s first coffee shops to focus on high-quality coffees. When the café shut its doors after eighteen years in business, our passionate crew of coffee lovers was determined to keep Little City alive by continuing to source great coffee, roast it right here in Austin, and share it with our community. We believe that “everyone deserves a great cup of coffee,” and our blends, microlots, and cold brew can now be found in homes, coffee shops, restaurants, grocery stores, offices, breweries, food trucks, music venues, soccer stadiums, rock climbing gyms, and anywhere else Austinites gather to enjoy a great cup of coffee. We travel the globe and partner directly with some of the world’s top coffee growers, bringing their best coffees to Austin, Texas, and freshly roasting them in small batches to share with you.

"Good coffee with a subtle spice flavor that's not going to offend anyone . It's exactly how I expected a seasonal coffee to taste, which isn't a bad thing. Brewed a nice cup in my machine and french press. "

"One of our new favorites. Wonderful nutty flavor, reminiscent of the coffee we used to get at Van De Kamp's cafes in Southern Cal years ago."

"The coffee is unlike any I have had previously. I’ve only tried a few light roasts, and wasn’t impressed. This really does live up to the claims of other light roasts that don’t deliver. So, it’s a lighter, fruit forward sweeter taste without the usual astringent bitterness I’ve experienced before. It retains all the smoothness of medium to medium dark roasts but with much lighter tasting notes. Totally different flavors, but still some darker coffee notes. It’s darn good and very drinkable. "
