A fruity favorite is back! This year’s roast brings a nutty caramel richness along with notes of sweet summer cherries. Smooth and well balanced, almost pillowy in your mouth: it’s the cherry on top of your morning.
With over 30 years of experience of being a coffee producer in the western region of the Costa Rica, Señor Pérez Barrantes counts on the support of his wife and sons to produce a meticulously grown full-washed organic coffee. Pérez grows the varieties of Caturra, Catuai and Villalobos of organic origin. Finca Santa Lucia uses other varieties of trees to offer the necessary shade to the micro-lots, among them: fruit trees, native trees, and banana trees. Notes: Black Cherry, Sweet, Well Balanced
"Finally trying this sample from a few months ago, but it still had a great tart smell and black cherry flavor!"
"Loved this one. Its got an earthy and nutty smell and smooth caramel, nutty, and chocolate notes. Damn fine coffee!"
"I had this cup in the mid afternoon a few times, really got my slow morning going into a full day of work. Really enjoyed this pick me up! Also if you leaving sitting for a bit and want to make it an iced coffee later it tasted just as good cold as it did hot! "
"Not my favorite. I was hoping for clear, fruity flavors, but didn't pick up on them. Brewed with a v60."
"Taste was pretty mild. We used The pour over method. Great taste, just very subtle hints of flavor.m so it didn’t really stand out. We did enjoy it. "
"Very good coffee, unique flavor. This was the first bean box we received and were not disappointed!"
"Very subtle flavor for this one. I would actually ad frozen cherries to the coffee to enhance the cherry flavor."
"Yummy roast! Paris well with a piece of toast and fresh raspberry jam! My man and I both enjoyed this cup, he likes it black and I like a splash of cream, really helped to smooth it out some!"
"This was a great blend. It went really well with cinnamon rolls in the morning :)"
"I thought this was a pretty good cup of coffee. Not as fruity as I anticipated. I personally liked it more as sample and not as a full bag. Would recommend trying it though. "
"Slightly sweet, balanced, and a nice semi-sweet chocolate & caramel finish. As it cools, it increases in sweetness and almost has a smooth finish reminiscent of hot cocoa. I personally felt this bean drinks more like a medium roast. Brewed on chemex."
"Having recently traveled to Costa Rica, I am a fan of their coffee. This roast satisfies. Full, rich, Sweet, and yummy as an espresso. "
