Mwendi Wega means “each other” in Swahili, the name of the 42-member coop. Big-bodied and juicy, this coffee tastes likes like fresh blackberry pie filling and a hint of citrus—no apron required! Also fantastic as a single-origin espresso.

"A light berry flavor with a touch of chocolate. It is quite acidic, but I felt this was balanced."

"Neither of us cared for this coffee. It is a little too bright for our liking. The citrus and fruit flavors were a little too much for us. We prefer something more smoky or earthy.."

"Bright acid but not too acidic. Big chocolate aroma for me—maybe I’m missing something? A really nice, fruity cup of coffee. I would probably be willing to purchase a whole bag!"

"This coffee is a tart, fruity blend that was a little too bright for me. "

"Okay. Definitely taste the black currant fruit taste. It may not have been my favorite, but it was decent."
ILENE 10/21/2019
"very btight with flavor that was undeniably delicious. It stands out as a smooth fruity coffee."

"Good, bright and fruity cup. Sort of bursting with flavor as I've experienced with other Kenyan coffees."
CHRISTOPHER 10/10/2019
"I really enjoyed this coffee. Brewed with my Technivorm, the blackberry stood out nicely, but with a caramel chocolate back. It was a relatively light roast with the body of a medium. I used my v60 for the last few grams of coffee and surprisingly it brought out more of the sweet and savory flavors and less of the citrus. "

"Another coffee roaster that I typically love, but I did not love this coffee. The molasses came off too acidic to me rather than savory. "
BRITTANY 02/11/2019
"Great medium roast with hints of flavor. I liked the citrus aspect. "
