To make this roast, organic Brazilian beans are aged for 2 weeks in a fresh bourbon barrel cask, and then roasted to the perfect medium-dark profile for the ultimate coffee cocktail. The nutty-chocolate notes of Brazilian coffee meld seamlessly with the spicy, sugary bourbon, giving this cup a big, boozy aroma and a complex flavor profile of vanilla, caramelized sugar, and spicy root beer. Just add a little whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and your household will be the hit of the holidays.
This exclusive, super-limited cup is a collaboration between local roaster Seattle Strong and 2Bar Spirits. Seattle Strong is a young, innovative company founded in 2017 by students at the University of Washington. 2Bar spirits is a craft distillery that prides itself on using only Pacific Northwest grain. 2Bar’s bourbon, with a butterscotch, vanilla, and chocolate-cherry profile, is the perfect companion for a traditional, creamy coffee like Seattle’s Strong’s organic Brazil. You might say it’s a match made in coffee heaven… Seattle!
