Curator's Notes

This coffee comes to you from one of Seattle Coffee Works’ farm direct partnerships. We love the notes of toasted almond, which add a warm, toasty complexity to a cup of creamy chocolate and tropical fruit. You’ll go nuts over it.

Roaster's Notes

A delicious coffee with hints of almond, mango and milk chocolate, back into our cafes for a second year. Finca Villa Laura is an innovative farm in the Andes range of Colombia, founded by Orlando Gaviria: he also founded a regional nonprofit for the benefit of coffee growers and farm laborers. Today, his son and wife run this farm, with a continuing emphasis on quality and fair working conditions.

"Nice flavorful coffee. Brewed in french press. nutty with complex flavor. Described as nutty and definitely has a toasted nut flavor with light acidity and even finish. Great back and not bad with a little cream."

"#67: 3.7/5 - A decent cup! Very creamy with exceptionally prominent notes of cocoa. There's a touch of almond playing throughout, complimenting the blunted notes of mango that surface occasionally. The mouthfeel is a bit muddy and yoohoo-ey, but I'd happily drink this mid-shelfer again if offered. "

"I really enjoyed this light roast. I was worried it would be too fruity and acidic, but it was nicely balanced."

"Brewed in a french press. Good cup of coffee, smooth creamy taste. I didn't get much chocolate or mango, just some toasted almond notes."

"The fruit notes made this one taste sour to me, my least favorite in this month's sampler. "
