Curator's Notes

This roast is everything we love about Brazilian coffee: silky-smooth body, solid base of nougat and toasted nuts, lush orange meringue finish. These beans come from Herkimer’s relationship with their favorite Brazilian coffee-growing cousins.

Roaster's Notes

https://herkimercoffee.com/shop/wholebean-coffee/single-origins/brazil-condado/ A complex and easy drinking coffee from our primary relationship partner in Brazil. Dried Mango and apricot are supported by hazelnut and milk chocolate with a hint of strawberry, vanilla, and honey on the finish. Ibrahim Chaib de Sousa and his son Pedro are the 5th and 6th generation growers of Fazenda do Condado. Condado lies in the heart of the geographically protected coffee growing region of Mantiqueira de Minas and houses 18 employees and their families year round. Pulped natural processed yellow catuai cultivar. 1200 masl

"Loved this one. Orange taste was strong but not too overpowering. I didnt taste marshmallow, but coffee had great body and wasnt bitter."

"One of my favorites. I'm disappointed that it's only a seasonal coffee. It's so nutty and sweet/smooth."
ALEKSANDRA 04/30/2018

"Herkimer is always good coffee! Brewed in Mocha pot, good with milk as latte and cappuccino and as americano! "
ART 04/25/2018

"Strong orange taste with hazelnut tones. Did not taste marshmallow, but regardless the Orange hazelnut flavors were great."
DAN 04/15/2018
★★★★★
"This is a clean and sweet coffee that is pretty much the flavors I enjoy during an occasional sip while reading a nice book. I could detect hazelnut notes a little bit of berries. "

"So good. Pretty strong orange taste with hazelnut tones. Didn't really taste marshmallow... but regardless the Orange hazelnut flavors went surprisingly well together"
MELISSA 03/16/2018
★★★★★
"I did like the flavor of this coffee, but it was very mild. It was very light and nutty and smooth to the palette. I would drink again, although I do like it a bit more bold."
SAM 03/16/2018
★★★★★
"We brewed this coffee in a regular drip pot and in the french press and in both instances the flavor was less than ideal. It is a very bold blend, which we usually like, but it was too acidic for our tastes. If you like a more bitter blend then this is for you!"
STEPHANIE 03/16/2018
★★★★★
"Smooth, but the flavor feels incomplete. Not my favorite, but for anyone who likes a lighter cup it is a good choice."
SHELBY 03/11/2018
★★★★★
"This coffee has a sweater nutty taste, it makes it good!"
