Vesuvius Espresso Blend #1211

12 oz whole bean dark coffee

Vesuvius Blend is Dragonfly’s nod to traditional, Roman-style espresso: very dark, roasted slowly, and crafted for milk-based drinks. As espresso, rich purple fruit aromas lead into a creamy (lava-like?) shot of spicy, bittersweet chocolate. Also delicious as a bold, Italian-style drip.

As I like big, bold blends (or single source), this is quite wonderful. Oftentimes I will use espresso-coffee-beans'>espresso beans in the french press and this will be regularly used. A bit of spice and chocolate'>chocolate.
We quite liked this one, which suprised us since we typically like medium roasts. The tasting notes are accurate - this very much smacks of Baker's chocolate'>chocolate, making it bitter, but not too acidic.
