Dark bean with very clean flavor. Brewed this bean drip style.
From my friend who is a coffee junky and tried this coffee: It's a really full round flavor that's food from the first sip to the last.
This is a strong, bold coffee. I liked it, but was a bit too bold for me to have often.
We found this coffee while visiting Vashon Island , and it has remained a favorite for my husband. I order it for him every Christmas. It is dark and smooth with no bitter notes. He says it tastes like love.
This was a wonderfully rich and bold roast. As someone who prefers a dark roast
profile, these beans were fully bodied with a sweet finish. One of my personal favorites so far.
This coffee is everything! So aromatic and bold! The smokey cedar flavors are a nice blend...definitely a coffee to enjoy with a nice, sweet dessert.
This coffee definitely is true to being a French roast. Very dark, very oily, and distinctly bold. For those who like extreme dark roast
s this is it without being bitter. Personally I like to use it to sparingly add some beans to medium or lighter dark roast
s that could use just a little more kick.
Right up my alley. I'm partial to dark, oily beans that deliver a smoky
, bold flavor; this reminds me of the French Roast I got from Vietnam about 30 years ago. Loved it.
This was bold, maybe even a little too bold for me.

tones with this coffee. I got this as one of my free trials. I thoroughly enjoyed every drop. It was perfectly roasted.
My favorite in my box. Beans were super oily, resulting in a delicious cup of coffee. Brewed in my Oxo On Barista coffee maker.
Wow, that's smokey! Also, the beans were really oily, which made a super rich, buttery cup of coffee. This roast is definitely unique.
Very smokey and woodsy - kind of odd first thing in the morning unless you're expecting it. Better with sweets after dinner than breakfast coffee, I suppose.
Very " woodsy " taste...if that is your flavor profile, then you will like it...
This is a good French roast. A surprisingly smooth and complex a flavor. I take my coffee black and all the flavor notes come through nicely. This is definitely on my favorites.
Personally wasn't much of a fan. Big bold flavor, which I like, but I found the cedar, smoky
notes too overpowering. Though, if you're into those notes, you definitely try this out.
This is an ideal coffee for lovers of dark, dark roast
s. Ashy in aroma and cup. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of body in the cup, but disappointed by the lack of subtle and distinct flavors. Aggressively dark and oily. Perfect for those who love those traits.
Really good, would buy again! Great notes of smoke!
This was dark and smooth with some earthy smokiness. Very interesting flavor! I agree with a previous post about this pairing well with a pastry, perhaps a cream-filled one!
This coffee blew my mind. It's dark and smoky
and it begs for a sweet pastry or chocolate
cake but is just as delicious with a spot of cream in it. I hope Bean Box never stops roasting this one! Brewed in a drip and french press
This is a favorite in our household! The beans have a beautiful natural oiliness which is delightful for both french press
. Once we tried this in our sampler there was no going back. We can't seem to have it stocked in the house enough!
