Santa Gema is one of four farms operated by Mario Jose Vilchez Urbina, who oversees all of the coffee production on his 20 acres of land, as well as the wet processing. When he's not working, Mario practices martial arts and coaches his farm's baseball team, "Equipo San Gema", a successful local club team.
Bluebeard's owner, Kevin, chose this bright, sweet roast from the cupping table during last year's farm visit to Nicaragua. We love the bright, soft notes of honeyed melon, the apple-like acidity, the backbone of hazelnut-studded chocolate. With this coffee, Santa Gema hit a home run!
