Curator's Notes
Coffee with the soul of iced tea! Juicy red grape notes dance up front while smooth chocolate tones rise in the back. Sweet cane sugar and a silky mouthfeel round out this refreshing brew from the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Roaster's Notes
https://blossomcoffeeroasters.com/collections/single-origin/products/congo-mapendo-natural-process-organic This is our first time working with Mighty Peace coffee, who work and source coffees exclusively from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mapendo in Swahili means “love,” and is also the name of this lot, where nearly 40% of the 4,200 farmers are women. Mapendo farmers produce fully washed coffee that has been certified Fair Trade Organic since 2009. There are 3 washing stations, including one large and two mini washing stations. A fourth station is under construction along with a modern lab for cupping and quality control. We are excited to offer this unique coffee, we taste a full body with lots of dried fruits like raisin and prunes.
