8th & Roast Coffee Co.

Nashville, TN
The heart and soul of Nashville's coffee scene
Curator's Notes
If you’ve ever been to Nashville, you know it’s all about soul — and 8th & Roast brings that same energy to their coffee. For example, their Ethiopia Bombe is a total showstopper: bright, fruity, and full of juicy berry notes that practically dance on your tongue. It’s the kind of coffee that makes you want to put on your favorite record and start your day slow. But what really makes it special is how it’s sourced — directly from producers, with a focus on long-term relationships and fair pricing. It’s Nashville hospitality in a cup: warm, welcoming, and full of heart.
From the Roaster
It all started when childhood friends Ed and Q began meeting at a little coffee shop named 8th And Roast. As they laid plans to build their dream restaurant, the coffee shop became their unofficial headquarters. Then, it happened – they fell in love… with coffee. Coming from a hospitality background, they realized a coffee shop is always more than just a coffee shop. At its best, it’s a third home, a place to feel welcomed, connected, and part of a larger community. At 8th & Roast, our sourcing ethos is pretty simple: Find amazing coffees, pay well for them, and be a great partner. In early 2021, we decided that we wanted to prioritize relationships with producers above everything in our sourcing strategy and began moving in that direction. We started small, with just a couple of our core offerings, but our long-term goal is ambitious: By the end of 2024, we want every one of our featured coffees to be sourced and prices directly negotiated with the farmers that produce them. Our long-term vision for sourcing involves more travel, meeting new coffee growers in new origins and forging new partnerships. We’re committed to bringing you excellent coffees from around the world.
