Curator's Notes

I'll admit it: my favorite coffees are the ones that bring a little bit of dessert into breakfast. In this spirit, I’m excited to introduce Portage Blend, a creamy medium roast from Rainier Coffee Roasters, our newest partner. Don’t be fooled, this cup isn’t super-sweet, but its low acidity and toasty, caramelized notes make a truly decadent mix. We taste lots of toffee in this roast, with the mellow, dark sweetness of dried dates and a long, custardy, creme brulee finish.

"This is what I would call a reliable coffee. It is a well-balanced medium roast blend, with nothing that really distinguishes it from other kind of "generic" coffee.
