It’s love at first sip over here! Notes of toasted blueberry muffin are the star of this cup, with a smooth, silky body and a depth of cacao nib and toasted nuts. Midnight Rider Blend is the newest creation from Seattle’s Middlefork Roasters, a team known for working tons of flavor into their darker-roasted coffees. This cup is a mix of medium and dark beans, the Ethiopian bringing the amazing blueberry flavors, balanced out with the nutty dark chocolate from Central America. This coffee-shop breakfast in a mug will make any Midnight Rider race towards the sunrise.
Middlefork Roasters is possibly Seattle’s most cheerful, uplifting coffee company. Matty and Macky, the founders, saw their opportunity in 2009, when a local cafe put their roaster up for sale. It was a big, expensive decision; Matt slept on it—and in his dreams, his mind was swayed. The next morning, he offered every penny in his bank account. It wasn’t nearly enough money, but the sellers were impressed by his spirit and optimism. He won the roaster, recruited his friends and family, and now, 10 years later, he’s bringing us the best blueberry-muffin coffee we’ve ever tasted. Some things are just meant to be.
You have to try our new favorite blend, the blueberry muffin in a mug. Midnight Rider is a love note to medium/dark roast coffee drinkers, who appreciate all the complex flavor of specialty coffee within a classically bold, roasty profile. Treat yourself or someone you love to Midnight Rider from Middlefork Roasters, and get ready to chase down the dawn. Life is a highway: stock your cup holder wisely.

||★★★★★||★★★★★ A nice blend of medium and dark, we enjoyed the blueberry and toasty notes.|
||★★★★★||★★★★★ I found it lacking in flavor. Cacao came through with some very slight blueberry hints and smooth|

||★★★★★||★★★★★ Everything came through for me on the flavors, definitely got the nutty flavor on the backend.|
||★★★★★||★★★★★ I tried 3 different aeropress methods with the sampler size of this coffee. My first two tries - with water at ~200 F - were awful and bitter. My third try - with water at 176 F - worked much better and I could actually taste many of the described flavors, e.g. nutty cacao and a hint of sweetness and acidity. 3 stars instead of higher because this coffee has potential but needs to come with instructions about how to make it shine.|
||★★★★★||★★★★★ I thought this was extremely bitter. It has a harsh taste and is not smooth.|
||★★★★★||★★★★★ The coffee is smooth and tasty, I can taste the fruit of the blueberry and also the chocolate. It is a great breakfast cup which would complement any morning meal without overrunning the palate. Would totally order again!|
