"For some humor, I will share that I was introduced to BeanBox through a Christmas sampler pack that, at first glance, I thought was a Starbucks product. I don’t like Starbucks, so I almost offered it to someone else. I am glad that I didn’t. I enjoyed the coffee and the fun of trying a new flavor every day. So far, I have really enjoyed everything with a
chocolate flavor/note and I was surprised to like the
fruity ones as well. This blend is no different. I use more beans/grounds than recommended, but it yields a nice, rich coffee with strong flavor notes that are easy to recognize. I look forward to my morning cup each day. "

chocolate forward coffee that is medium-dark, you’ll probably like this. "

"I really like this coffee. It is the right level of roasty for me and has a flavor that is distinctly “coffee” but not boring or bland. I tend to like coffee-flavored coffee that isn’t too complicated but also not super generic. This is a great example of that. I have tried it black and with cream (how I typically prefer my coffee) and both are good . Sometimes adding another variable to a coffee ruins the flavor so I’m glad that this isn’t the case. I ordered this with a gift card and I was cautious about Bean Box to be honest, but I’m very happy with it. I may subscribe in the future because it’s fun to try all sorts of coffee."

v60 using Matt Winston’s “Five Pour Method”—15 gms, 250 g water. Strong,
nutty, great mouth feel, but not bitter at all and only very mildly acidic with some lingering sweetness. Might be even better using Tetsu’s 40/60 method. Surprised since I’m more of a Central American coffee guy. Well done!"

medium roast. It was better black than with cream. The grind size needs to be slightly more coarse than darker roasts, and it pulls a little high. The tasting notes are pretty accurate, though I don't know that I would call it earthy. "
