Curator's Notes
There’s just one thing to say about this sweet, creamy Guatemalan coffee: we’re “bananas” over it! With notes of tropical fruit, cantaloupe melon, and a fantastic finish of banana cream pie, Ladro's Guatemala Juana Delgado Domingo is one of our favorite Guats of the season. In addition to being delicious, this cup is certified Fair Trade and organic, and represents a unique twist to the classic Guatemala profile. It’s one of our favorites of the season, and, as with most micro-lots of this caliber, it’s just about gone.
Roaster's Notes
From our head roaster - This past March I had the privilege to visit the CODECH co-op in northern Guatemala and be one of the judges in their annual coffee competition. During the two day competition we tasted over fifty different coffees. I'm incredibly proud and honored to be roasting this coffee which took sixth place. Grown by Juana Delgado Domingo this coffee has a ton of tropical flavor, with banana and cantaloupe standing out. It's not every day you find these flavors in coffee, so this is something truly exceptional. This is one of my favorite coffees of the year. I'm so excited to share it with you all.
