Why I’m Obsessed: I mean, strawberry shortcake? Now that’s a tasting note that grabs attention! With just one whiff of this limited-edition Spring blend, you’ll be captivated. The strawberry note is juicy and sweet, like the inside of a summer tart. The orange is soft and buoyant, more fresh-squeezed than anything tart. It’s light-bodied and silky, sweet through the finish, with a hint of spicy florals as the cup cools. It's a Peru and Ethiopia blend done beautifully, with each component doing exactly what it should, nothing fighting for attention, and they all go together like flowers in a springtime garden. Super bloom indeed! Even better, for every bag sold, Equator donates 5% back to a soil health initiative for small farmers in Peru. Um. Super Bloom = super hero???

Equator Coffees has been one of my favorite roasters for years. Founded by partners Helen and Brooke in a Marin garage in 1995, Equator is an icon in the industry. They helped pioneer direct trade, became California's first B Corp certified coffee roaster, earned Roaster of the Year in 2010, and have continued to collect awards ever since, including multiple Good Food awards. I’ve always been attracted to what they’re doing with coffee, and this blend is a great example of their ethos, their roasting style, and their commitment to supporting specialty from the ground up (literally!). Seasonal and limited, so don't sleep on this strawberry shortcake!
