Equator Coffee has come a long way since beginning in a Marin County garage in 1995. After two decades, nine cafes and thousands of cups served, Equator’s impact has grown but their values have remained the same. We’re thrilled to bring them on, both to feature the stunning array of coffee they source, and to highlight the work they’ve done regarding coffee quality, sustainability, and social responsibility.

Equator pursued a variety of certifications long before anyone thought coffee could embody any of those qualities. As a Fair Trade, Organic, and B-Corp certified company, Equator has shown that coffee can always be better. In 2016 their team won the National Small Business of the Year by the Small Business Administration, making Equator the first Certified LGBTQ-owned business to win.

Their year-round blends, and selective eye for sourcing single origins show us that coffee can always be roasted better, brewed better and, most importantly, it sourced in a way that makes lives better.
