Curator's Notes
This sweet treat from Mexico is back! There are so many desserty adjectives I'd use to describe this coffee: tiramisu, chocolate muffin, salted caramel, almond fudge... but it all boils down to one delicious sip after another. A real treat for any chocolate lover, or sweet tooth, Dapper & Wise's medium roast Mexico Santa Maria Yucuhiti is a dream come true. The aroma? Arrestingly chocolaty. In your mug, first sip feels light, almost cake-like, with a hint of cherry-like brightness that flows immediately into a body of smooth, melted dark chocolate and hazelnut butter. Nutella, anyone? The finish is rich and creamy, but not heavy, with amaretto-like flavors and a hint of salted caramel. This is the third year we've carried this decadent Oaxacan coffee from Portland-based Dapper & Wise, and we just can't get enough of it.
