For you, from you: a chocolate-covered strawberry in a cup. Celebrate your love of coffee this Valentine's Day with the luxurious top-shelf Ethiopia Tchembe.

Ethiopian coffee has a romantic and storied history as the birthplace of coffee, and that romance comes alive in this lush, fruit-forward cup. These beans are from the Gedeo zone, home to the most prized of Ethiopian heirloom varietals. Conduit chose this coffee, and we singled it out, because of the strength of its dry processing.

Processing can be a powerful tool to create great coffee; truly high-end coffee is both "grown" and "made", a one-two punch between farm and mill. These beans were sourced through Ninety Plus coffee, importers that work directly with farms and mills to take coffee beans to the next level with a focus on processing upgrades; their work, as showcased here, shines as a distinctive and powerful cup.

With Conduit Coffee's light-roast touch, this coffee is full of layered notes: dark chocolate and strawberry fruit, balanced with an earthy tobacco spice and toasted butterscotch. The finish is long and sweet, reminiscent of honey and chardonnay. It's a decadent example of the romance of Ethiopian coffee, and the skill of the farmers and producers of the oldest coffee-growing region in the world.

All that said, love may be eternal, but this limited-run coffee will be gone by Valentine's Day. Parting is such sweet sorrow.
