Curator's Notes
A classic Brazilian cup, densely rich and chocolaty. Flavors are smooth and nutty, with a body like chocolate almond milk and a sweet, mellow acidity with a hint of fig newton cookie. Sourced through Coava’s direct trade partnership.
Roaster's Notes
Paulo Federico produces coffee in the micro-region of Araponga in the state of Minas Gerais. Since 2014, this area has benefited greatly from initiatives to engage producers and promote investment in specialty coffee, culminating in a notable representation at the Cup of Excellence competition in 2017. Advancements in processing techniques and access to farmer education centered on picking, post-harvest procedures, and cupping have helped foster a local producer community full of pride and dedication to their craft.
