Sweet cherry pie in the sky! Fine Burundi coffees are known for their juicy, unbridled flavors. This espresso is a more developed roast, for a cherry- syrup shot with plenty of caramelized depth. We’re dying to try this one affogato.
The Ubwiza Bw’ikawa cooperative started in 2009 and represents 800 producers. They have made it their mission to oppose discrimination by actively promoting inclusivity in supporting women farmers and marginalized ethnic groups in the region. The coffee is fully washed, hand sorted, and dried on raised beds.
Cupping notes: On the nose- Sweet, heady, fragrant berry fusion; maple & cherry forward. Taste- Bright Maraschino cherries, sweet maple, pomegranate, cranberry, & Pinot Noir. Not your typical Burundi. Very unique, lively, medium bodied, with a tart acidity, & delicious, complex finish.
"Full of flavor and truly amazing! Took the packaging suggestion of trying in affogato and was not dissapointed!"
"very flavourful! I came back for more of this one a couple days in a row, and it's been a great way to start the morning."
"This blend was not my favorite, it's a bit bitter. It's a kick in the pants!"
