Mountainous Chanchomayo lies in the Northern region of Peru, one of the country's most prized coffee-growing areas. When our coffee curator spent time cupping in Peru, she especially loved the coffees like this one: rich, syrupy and sweet, with a big body, low acidity, and tons of fruit flavor. This organic roast is lush, with a caramel-like body and big, full notes of raspberries, black cherries, and dried fruit. The finish is clean and uplifting, like rich dark chocolate and a hint of lime zest. Fine Peruvian coffee is a marriage of classic South American flavor with a touch of Amazonian flair, and meant to be enjoyed in a Machu-Picchu sized mug.
An organically-grown roast from Buenos Aires group in Junin, Chanchamayo, Peru. Notes of raspberry, cocoa, caramel, kola nut, and lime.
"A new fave. Such a delicious, robust, smooth cup of coffee. A very interesting roast and flavor, really stands out among others. (pour over.)"
