Coffee by Design has been doing things the right way since 1994, when co-founders Mary Allen Lindemann and Alan Spear returned to a recession-hit Portland, Maine and bet on community, quality, and integrity over shortcuts. Woman-owned, B Corp certified, and deeply rooted in direct farmer relationships, CBD roasts every batch fresh in small batches and reinvests in their people, their city, and the arts that give it soul.
