Curator's Notes
If “velvet” could be a cup of coffee, this is it: big-bodied and smooth, with notes of dark molasses, sweet purple raisin and toffee with brown sugar and almonds. Luscious finish like caramel and sweet tobacco. Brand new from our friends at Stamp Act Coffee, Brazilian Finca Samambaia isn’t a coffee to drink, it’s a coffee to wrap yourself up in.
Roaster's Notes
Fazenda Samambaia is one of the core members of the Santo Antonio Estates. This farm is both gorgeously kept and historic. Owned by the Cambraias’s since the 19th century, it’s executive operator is now Henrique Cambraia. This coffee is quite unique as it is not often found in the US market. The Yellow Topazio is a cross between Mundo Novo and Red Catuai and then backcrossed with Catuai again. Confused yet… This year’s Samambaia Yellow Topazio is rich in caramel and almond, with hints of fresh tobacco, raisin and a heavy body
