Curator's Notes

Just in time for June’s warm weather to be rolling in, I’ve got a fruity, summer-perfect cup just for you. Slate Coffee’s new Ethiopian Guji is a real peach… literally! Notes of ripe yellow peach define this sweet and delicate cup, with a soft, sugary finish like lemon candy, and honey pooling at the bottom of a cup of tea. One sip, and we’re thinking about picnics, porch swings, and watching the kids run around on the lawn. Maybe after a cup of this, we’ll have the energy to join them….

Roaster's Notes

This washed Ethiopia was brought to us from our partner Keffa, a private exporter in Ethiopia with a priority in supporting and sustaining the people behind the beans by working with origin partners who pay higher than average wages and who treat workers fairly. With their vast experience and decades long relationships, they are bringing in coffees of the highest standards. Notes of peach, earl grey, and honey.

"This was brewed too lightly, but I could still taste the black tea notes, which I really liked. Good smooth, light and tasty cup. Brewed french press."
