Passionate about coffee? This coffee is “passion fruit” about you! We love the big, rich fruit in this cup, the molasses-like depth. Roseline is known for their sweet, smooth roasts, and there’s just nothing sweeter than a classic Nyeri coffee.
After cherry sorting, a traditional depulper is used to remove cherry skins and flesh. Processing at the Githembe washing station is traditional: after a disc-depulper removes cherry pulp, clean water from the Theta river is used to move coffee to fermentation tanks and is then recirculated before going to deep pits that separate out contaminating solids. Due to security concerns, the coffee processed at Githembe is transferred to drying facilities at Kiganjo where they have sufficient drying beds to manage cherries processed at multiple mills.
