Curator's Notes
Soft, sweet, and aromatic, this coffee was grown in Sidama’s Bombe Mountains at a sky-scraping 2000+ meters. Delicate notes of lavender define this cup, alongside a smooth, silky body and a light finish of peach syrup and powdered sugar.
Roaster's Notes
Shantawene mill is found within the tiny village of the same name and serves around 1500 local producers. It's located in the foothills of the Bombe Mountains and thus higher than many of the mills in the region, pulling from slower-ripening coffee trees. The soil in the area is very nutrient-dense, and groves of inset (false banana) weave through coffee trees. This lot expresses a honey and stone fruit sweetness with intense lavender floral notes.
