Roaster's Notes

Our popular seasonal blend warms up crisp autumn mornings and pairs perfectly with pumpkin pie. The cup is spicy and festive with notes of caramel, clove, dried orange, and rosemary. Three of our favorite producers supply the beans for this year's Grateful Coffee Blend. The Oromia Coffee Farmers' Cooperative Union in Ethiopia focuses on 100% Organic and Fair Trade production. In Peru, COOPAFSI (Cooperative Agraria “Frontera San Ignacio” Ltda) was officially established in June 1969. Gender equality was an important factor when the land was purchased and divided among producers. Finally, in 2000, 62 Honduran coffee farmers joined together with a common goal to transform their farms from conventional to organic production and formed COMSA (Cafe Organico Marcala, S.A). In 2001, fostered by a foundation called Funder, COMSA earned their organic certification and in 2006, COMSA then applied for and was granted Fair Trade certification status.
