Curator's Notes
Asikana in Oromo means "we start from here." This coffee is smooth like a nutty black tea with a pop of sweet citrus. Certified both bird-friendly and organic, we think this delicate and juicy decaf is the perfect way to get started.
Roaster's Notes
Continuing in our limited series of top tier decaf coffees, we have a juicy stunner: the Asikana Natural from Ethiopia. High end decaf coffees continue to be very expensive, this one coming in at $6.30/lb FOB. But given the flavor profile, we think it's worth the cost. Notes of nectarine, black tea and an almond butter sweetness make this lot an all star of a selection. We move through decaf lots as seasonally as every other coffee we purchase, please enjoy the freshness of the harvest Processed by the fine folks at Swiss Water Process and packaged in Grain Pro for extended enjoyment.
