Curator's Notes
When our friends at Kuma Coffee told us that they'd secured a series of highly-coveted microlots directly from their favorite small farmers in Narino, Colombia, we jumped at the opportunity to reserve some for Bean Box customers. This coffee, Roiman Romo Microlot #3, was the highlight of the cupping table. The first sip is piquant, like sparkling pineapple hard candy with a hint of roastiness -- Kuma calls it "grilled pineapple". YUM. Immediately, flavors flow into a syrupy-sweet, honeyed mango, with a mouthfeel like a fruit smoothie or, one of my favorites, mango lassi. Sweet, delicate florals rain down in the finish. 100% washed Castillo beans from the high-elevation eden of Narino, Colombia. This is a classic Colombian "fruit cup" coffee with a real wow factor!
