Curator's Notes
Kuma bought out the whole harvest of this small lot, a washed caturra from a family farm. Sweet and delicate, this light roast opens with a sprinkle of sugar and finishes with muddled mint and a twist of lime: a mint julep for the morning!
Roaster's Notes
El Pacer sits near the top of the mountain in the municipality of Buesaco. We got to visit Maria Chavez at her farm and hike to the top of that mountain and look down through the whole valley. She is one of several siblings that all grow coffee in Buesaco. They each grow their own lots and use a shared mill to process and dry. The caturra crop she grew this year is seriously delicious, so sugary sweet and zippy with malic and citric acid adding complexity, a touch of mint herbals to boot. This is a small lot, we purchased her whole harvest this past season. Please enjoy it!
