Curator's Notes
Vibrant, sweet, and totally unique, this rare lot was treated to 4 days of yeast fermentation. The result is a sparkling fruit-bomb that's bursting with ripe strawberry and baked blueberry tart. Our favorite summer fruits in a mug!
Roaster's Notes
https://www.klatchroasting.com/collections/single-origin/products/ethiopia-guji-haro-welabu-anaerobic-natural Flavor notes of a real fruit bomb; specifically strawberry, blueberry and peach. Sweet and clean in cup. Established 15 years ago, Kerchanshe has become one of the largest producers and exporters of coffee in Ethiopia. With 350 raised beds, their stations serve close to 1900 farmers in the area. Kerchanshe impacts the livelihood of hundreds of coffee growers throughout the southern and southwestern coffee growing regions reinvesting 10% of its annual profits into social programs. We buy annually from Kerchanshe station at the peak of the coffee season. As a company whose flavor focus is on coffees that are clean, sweet, bright, and complex, we don’t buy a ton of natural processed coffees. When we do, they’re heavy hitters. The Haro Welabu Anaerobic Natural G1 we’ve contracted from Haro Welabu in Guji (formerly Eastern Uraga) exemplifies this principle. Anaerobic Fermentation Anaerobic Natural Process: Fermentation of 4 days in fiberglass tank and drying 12-15 days on raised beds.
