Demeka Becha is a classic fruity staple for Dapper & Wise, every time it finds its way to our cupping table we fawn over the delicate, floral notes paired with sweet fruit! This coffee comes from Ethiopia, where much coffee is grown in what’s referred to as a smallholder setting - around ten thousand individual “garden farms” bring their cherries to the Demeka Becha washing station. This location is perched atop a hill where there is plentiful airflow for the drying beds where coffee beans rest until their measured moisture levels are low enough for final processing in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia! While both ‘Demeka' and ‘Becha’ are communities from which the Demeka Becha site itself sources coffee cherry; others include Dilla Suke, Goacho, and Bashiro Dale!
