Curator's Notes

Cheer Up! That’s the sunny name under which this Burundi coop sells its beans. And with good reason: this roast is all smiles with juicy notes of raspberry, peach tea, and a finish of lush hibiscus florals. It’ll put the “grin” back in “daily grind”.

Roaster's Notes

COCOCA (Consortium of Coffee Growers Cooperatives) is an umbrella cooperative representing around 1300 members in a dozen primary cooperatives around Burundi who collectively own their own dry mill. The name of the mill, and their coffee brand is, “Horamama” which means, “Cheer Up!” This year we are proud to offer coffee from the Maruri Washing station of Dusangirijambo Cooperative in Kayanza and we think it will make you very cheerful indeed.
