"I think the coffee itself was pretty pleasant; earthy and choclatey, a darker roast like I had hoped for. My primary issue comes from the fact that, when I order ground espresso specifically, I would expect it to be ground to the consistency espresso generally maintains - very finely ground, not quite powder but close to it. The blend I received was awfully coarse to be used as-is for espresso, and this showed in the thin, poor stream produced when packed and brewed via my espresso machine. Disappointed, but I can just grind it further I suppose. Certainly hope this gets corrected next time though because it was rather frustrating. "

"I like dark roast coffee and was willing to try the $22/lb coffee at half price. It arrived within a few days and wS marked as having been fresh roasted. When I unsealed the bag there wS no dark roast aroma. The color was not dark a d actually looked large grain I prefer to use a my kcup but it was weak. I wrote to company and they b ey said best for pourover. So I did a pourover with filter. I put in 3 tbls just to make sure strong. The water went right through quickly and you could see through the coffee. Talk about weak. I wish there was a way to let them know the grind you want. Pricey coffee to find out is not dark. It was dark side of the moon. I'd add photos but no option here"
