Bean Box in your agent

Use Bean Box from your AI agent

Connect your Bean Box account to Claude, ChatGPT, or Muse and ask about your coffee the way you'd ask a friend: what's in your next delivery, where your last bag is, which Ethiopian naturals are in stock right now.

Your connector

Sign in to get your connector

Your connector is a private link that lets your agent reach your account — and only yours. It takes one click, and you can disconnect it here any time.

Connect it

  1. Open Settings → Connectors in Claude (claude.ai or the Claude app).
  2. Choose Add custom connector, name it “Bean Box”, and paste your connector URL.
  3. Start a chat and ask, “What's in my next delivery, and when does it ship?”

Until OpenAI peels back its draconian requirements for openly connecting its AI to the world, we recommend using Claude.

  1. Muse sets up connectors in the chat itself. Say: “Create a custom connector called Bean Box for this MCP server,” and paste your connector URL when it asks for the credential.
  2. Approve the connection when Muse asks.
  3. Then ask, “What's in my next delivery, and when does it ship?”

These steps follow Muse’s own documentation; we haven’t walked them end to end yet, and menus move. If a label differs, look under Settings for Connectors.

Things you can ask

  • “What's in my next delivery, and when does it ship?” Ship date, arrival window, the coffees picked for it, and where it's going.
  • “Where's my coffee? Track my latest order.” The carrier, tracking number, and every scan so far.
  • “Show me my coffee plans and when I'll be charged next.” Each plan's roast style, size, and schedule, plus the next charge date and amount.
  • “Skip my next delivery — I still have plenty.” The new ship and arrival dates, and when you'll be charged, before anything changes.
  • “Pause my coffee until mid-January — I'm travelling.” Your deliveries skipped to the ship date you pick (up to a year out), shown before anything changes.
  • “Find me a fruity, light-roast Ethiopian under $25.” In-stock matches by roaster, with tasting notes like blueberry, jasmine, or peach jam.

  • “What sizes and grinds does that coffee come in?” Every size and grind with its price, and your member price.
  • “How much would a plan with two 12oz bags every 3 weeks cost?” The per-delivery price with shipping, and what an annual plan would save.
  • “Reorder the Ethiopian I loved last month — two bags, ground.” The cart with that exact coffee, shipping and total, and the order placed only after you say yes.
  • “Send a bag of that coffee to my sister in Portland with a note.” Her address saved, the note on the order, and the total shown before anything is charged.
  • “How many credits do I have, and which card is on file?” Your credit balance and your saved cards (brand and last four only).
  • “I've moved — update my address and send my coffee plans there.” The new address saved, then each plan's move shown (and which delivery is first to arrive there) before anything changes.
  • “Would an annual plan actually save me money?” The savings against what you really pay per delivery today, and the exact charge before you switch.
  • “Which coffees have I had, and which ones did I love?” Every coffee you've received, most recent first, with the ones you marked as favorites or not for you.
  • “Thumbs up that Guatemalan and leave a review: one of my favorite naturals from Bean Box.” The coffee marked as a favorite and your review, in your words, published under your name.
  • “Add another bag from the same roaster to my next delivery.” Your cart tied to that delivery so the roaster's coffees ship with it for free, and the total shown before anything is charged.
  • “Add a new card to my account.” A sign-in link to your Payments page with the card form open — the number is typed there, never in the chat.

You stay in charge

Only your account. Your connector can see your Bean Box account and nothing else.
Nothing changes without you. Your agent shows you every change before it happens, nothing is charged without a confirmation step, and spending is capped at $500 in any 7 days.
No card numbers. Cards are only ever added on beanbox.com, never through your agent.
Off with one click. Disconnect here any time, or ask your agent to disconnect itself.

Good to know

Which agents work with it?
Claude (claude.ai and the Claude apps), ChatGPT, and Meta Muse. Any agent that accepts a custom MCP connector URL can use it — those three are the ones with steps above.
Do I need a paid plan?
Not from Bean Box — any account can create a connector. Custom connectors are usually a feature of the agents’ paid plans (ChatGPT requires one), so check yours.
What can my agent change on its own?
Nothing that costs money or moves a delivery. Skipping, rescheduling, switching plans, reordering, and moving a plan to a new address are all shown to you first, with the dates and the exact charge, and happen only after you say yes. Spending through your agent is capped at $500 in any 7 days.
How do I turn it off?
Disconnect on this page, or tell your agent “disconnect Bean Box” — it asks you to confirm, then the URL stops working everywhere. Removing the connector inside your agent alone doesn’t retire the URL; disconnect here to be sure.
