Kafiex Roasters was founded in 2018 by husband-and-wife team Matthew and Seidy Selivanow in Vancouver, Washington, with a mission to redefine your relationship with coffee. Named Roast magazine’s 2026 Micro Roaster of the Year, Kafiex brings nationally recognized expertise to every cup. Matthew placed fourth in both the 2024 and 2025 U.S. Coffee Roasting Championships, and Seidy placed sixth in the 2026 U.S. Barista Championship. Our coffees range from comforting, chocolate-forward blends to expressive single origins and experimental microlots. We approach each coffee with care and curiosity, developing roasts that highlight its sweetness, balance, and distinctive character. Whether you’re enjoying a familiar favorite or exploring something unexpected, we want every cup to feel thoughtfully crafted. Sharing what we learn is central to who we are. Through our cafés, classes, and community events, we help people connect more deeply with their coffee and the people behind it. For us, coffee is both a craft worth pursuing and an everyday experience worth appreciating.
