Curator's Notes
The word Amrita comes from Sanskrit, meaning “immortality.” In mythology, it refers to the nectar of the gods, a divine elixir. It’s also the name of a small island off the coast of Cape Cod, and the perfect name for a coffee company rooted in reverence: for the land, for the animals, and for the cup itself.
At Amrita Pure, coffee is more than a beverage — it’s a call to stewardship. Founded by Anne, a 30-year veteran of the specialty coffee industry and one of its true hidden gems, Amrita is anchored in a mission to preserve environmental and animal welfare, source sustainable and bird-friendly coffees, and use every cup to strengthen our connection to community.
I first met Anne through our shared involvement in the Cup of Excellence, and from my very first sip of her coffee, I knew I wanted to share it. She roasts each batch fresh to order from her roastery in Orlando, Florida, offering both light and dark roast profiles, and donates a portion of every sale to environmental protection organizations. Her bags are tiny works of art: hand-drawn and designed to reflect her nature-first philosophy and sourcing practices. Thoughtfully sourced, beautifully roasted, deeply grounded — Amrita Pure is pure coffee joy.
