Roaster's Notes
Kamwangi Coffee Factory is located near the buffer zone surrounding Mount Kenya National Park. The towering presence of the snow capped Mount Kenya plays a fundamental role in the coffee production and lives of those who live in Kirinyaga, which translates to “White Mountain.” Glacial runoff feeds the rivers, cooling the surrounding areas, making temperatures much more tolerable than other coffee growing regions in Africa. A long chain of mountains in the region creates a diversity of altitudes and terrain for coffee cultivation.
