MEXICAN 'TENEJAPA' {SINGLE ORIGIN ESPRESS}

Mexican ‘Tenejapa’ {Single Origin Espresso} is produced by multiple small farms located in the state of Chiapas, in southern Mexico. The municipality of Tenejapa has only 40,000 residents and the central city of Tenejapa, only 2,000. The society consists of the indigenous Mayan culture and the common primary language is Tzotzil, an indigenous Mayan language. This culture is so embedded that most people in the area speak Spanish as a second language and even primary schools are conducted in Tzotzil. In terms of cup quality, at the 2023 Cup of Excellence in Mexico, a coffee from Tenejapa placed as #4 out of hundreds of coffees from around Mexico. Obviously, the amazing people in this remote region are producing some amazing coffee that we are very excited to share with all of you.
