Roaster's Notes
Fundamental Silk Road Blend is anchored by two special coffees from Vietnam and completed with rare Indonesian coffee from Toraja, Sulawesi. Vietnam Opal Bold Reserve is grown near Da Lat in the Lam Dong Province in the Central Highlands. The coffees in the region are grown by small scale farmers at high elevation and using exacting standards. Opal Bold is processed using the wet-hulling method which yields a spicy, herbal and mild aged tobacco note. Lotus Lam Dong is grown in the same region however is a washed process coffee which delivers a more mild, sweet and chocolate flavor. Rounding out the blend is a spicy, triple picked Toraja coffee from the K-shaped Indonesian Island of Sulawesi.
